About The Maps The maps on your screen are digital images created directly from digital vector data, as opposed to images that have been scanned or digitised from paper maps. The result is that Mapzone map images are produced in full digital accuracy, giving you an image of the highest quality and spatial accuracy. The efficiency in which map images are being downloaded is due to Site Render, our leading edge map server. This site produces 'generation on demand' map images in real time. Maps are produced on request using Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques and delivered over the Internet, Site Render can be customised to suit screen size and map scale. Levels 1 to 4 maps shows the entire country, regional areas, cities and towns. In addition, these broader scale maps shows geographical features such as mountain ranges, hills, lakes, rivers, state highways and arterial roads. Map Levels 5 to 7 are the three lower level maps showing individual roads with road names. Other value added information includes building names and organisations. National Coverage Mapzone has the legal public roads for the entire country covered. This means we are not restricted to the main urban centres, and if you live along a rural road, sealed or unsealed, we can produce a road map of it for you. In addition, the registered addresses for the entire country are available for you to do an Address Search on. Of the 1.3 million addresses, we are able to locate a particular address, anywhere in the country and display the location on a street map. Customisation and Colours The street level maps may be customised to your specific requirements so they stand out from all others. Ways in which maps can be customised include varying the widths of road casings, using different information layers on the maps and changing colours. Map colours can be changed to give a different look like that seen below. Information Layers Street level maps (Levels 5, 6, 7) may include different information layers to further customise maps for your specific requirements.
