Aerial Photos Mapzone compliments its street maps with Aerial photographs of the same area. This allows you to view the actual areas seen from the air. Along with the street map which is the same size and scale as the aerial photo, therefore the map can be used as a reference point to identify landmarks on the photo. To see an aerial view of your home or work just go to the level 6 map click on "Aerial Photo" in right hand column under "Show". Aerial photos are only shown for Level 6 maps, so zoom down to a level 6 map displayed before you request an aerial photograph. Note: although most of the country is covered, the site does not have aerial photos of rural and wilderness areas. Sample Photos: 1. Christchurch Airport 2. City Centre, Dunedin This service is also available to organisations who wish to customise street maps to their own look and feel or for viewing larger aerial photographs.
