Design Your Own Maps
You are able to change the look and feel of maps using Map Design and add new map levels between existing map levels using Map Level.
Map Design
Map Design allows you to change the colours plus the look and feel of Mapzone maps. Levels 5, 6 and 7 (lowest levels) can be customized to suit your personal or corporate tastes. Map attributes that can be changed include; background colour, river, lake, sea, roads centre, road edge, road label and railways.

In addition the size of roads, road labels, state highways and rail lines can be specified to suit the specific map level. Each map level can be changed independently of one another other.

It means that maps can be changed to suit your corporate colours if you were to use interactive maps as part of your web site. Using map colours harmonious with your web site colours gives a seamless look and feel to your web pages.

A sample of map properties that can be modified is given below.

Map Level
Map Level allows you to add, change or delete map levels between existing map levels. Different map scales can be added and existing map scales can be deleted similar to a GIS system, but at a fraction of the cost of a GIS system.

Map levels between 15 meters per pixels and 0.1 meters (10cm) per pixel can be added. At 15 meters per pixel (Zoomed Out) you will see a large number of roads per map, while at 0.1 meters per pixel (Zoomed In) a small number of roads will be shown.

The green levels are the ones that can be deleted or modified.
Standard levels on Mapzone are:

Level Meters per Pixel
Level 1: 3000.0
Level 2: 425.0
Level 3: 100.0
Level 4: 25.0
Level 5: 7.2
Level 6: 1.83
Level 7: 0.9
