Soundex Search Soundex Searches allows similar sounding names to be identified, when the user does not know the exact spelling of a name. The search will identified all Street Names that sound similar to the name entered. The user can then select from a list of similar sounding names. Particularly useful in New Zealand where Maori names are not easily spelt or pronounced. The address search features allows user to do a standard search or soundex search. This is a chargeable service and the ’Soundex Search’ button will not appear on the page, unless the user has subscribed to this service.
